Albert Leeflang

After graduation with a BA, of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, Albert Leeflang began his career at the internationally acclaimed design firm Studio Dumbar, the Netherlands, in 1990. He worked on large-scale design projects for the Dutch Government and the National Theatre. However, he was inspired by old photographs of the East Indies and decided to travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1996. He stayed there and worked as a design director for various branding studios in the following years.

In 2000, he moved to Bali, Indonesia, where he lived until 2002. Albert then joined Ogilvy in Singapore as Creative Director, managing large branding projects in the region. He founded the design studio LSD Corporation in Singapore in 2006. He shifted his focus to branding for the arts industry, notable for his eight-year work relation with the National Museum of Singapore. Inspired by the country’s rural areas during multiple motorcycle trips, Albert moved to Laos in 2013. Albert worked as a photographer for the Elephant Conservation Center, and joined a 600 km trek with 30 elephants to raise awareness of the plight of the elephants in Laos.

More recently, Albert worked as a creative director for Workshop Restaurant and Asia Pillars in Bangkok and participated in various other art projects. Albert lives in Vientiane, Laos
