Founder & Creative Director

Bringing European craft skills and a unique reverence for contemporary design and materiality, Alexander Lamont has built a luxury lifestyle brand in Thailand. Studying Thai language and anthropology in London, he went on to refine his hands and eyes through periods as a photographic assistant and later as an antique dealer in Hong Kong. These experiences helped crystalize his vision in Thailand 23 years ago, to create objects of artistry with the kind of surfaces, forms and natural materials that “call out to be touched”.

Lamont sees the artistic and technical challenge of his role as creative director as all about keeping the brand constantly relevant and fresh to the emerging designers and clients who create the trends of tomorrow. Future plans involve constant exploration of design and production techniques and if possible, the creation of a craft school that builds on the strong artistic foundations of Thailand.

Collections made in his Bangkok workshops are shown in his London showroom and numerous representatives around the world, truly bringing Thai skills to an international audience. His passion for his work is only exceeded by his pride and joy in his family.
