Alexandra Polyakova is a German-Ukrainian architect and multimedia artist whose work bridges design, art, and nature. Based in Bangkok, her practice spans architecture, photography, and spatial installations, exploring the intricate relationship between humanity and the natural environment.
She studied architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Her professional experience encompasses interior design, urban planning, and landscape architecture. ARCANE operates between London, Berlin, and Bangkok, using nature as both material and inspiration to craft innovative and sustainable designs. The studio’s acclaimed projects, including A Garden Too Secret and NEXUS at Bangkok Design Week 2023 and 2024, seamlessly blend abstract concepts with functional design.
Her artistic work, exhibited internationally, demonstrates her dedication to merging critical inquiry with compelling storytelling.
