Alisa Pien is a Thai-Taiwanese-American filmmaker. Pursuing filmmaking since the age of 13, her work has earned numerous national and international awards in both film and advertising. Her films have been showcased at major festivals across Asia and Europe, including Beijing, Mexico City, Berlin, Kolkata, and Bucharest.
Raised in a multicultural environment, Alisa developed a deep understanding that emotion and storytelling transcend language. As a director, she embraces a formalist approach—using structure, visual style, and tone to evoke emotional resonance. Her work spans a range of genres including drama, fantasy, horror, psychological thriller, musicals, and comedy.
Her portfolio includes short films, music videos for artists like Thaitanium, Zweed n’ Roll, and Cocktail, as well as commercials for global brands such as Nike, Valorant, Burger King, SCB, PTT, Caltex, and AIS.
In 2024, Alisa made her narrative directorial debut with Episode 8 (Viral Curse) of Netflix Thailand’s Terror Tuesday Extreme. In 2025, she directed Dalah: Death and the Flowers, a six-episode Netflix Original murder mystery. Both series reached the number one spot in Thailand.
Alisa continues to explore themes of memory, identity, and emotional legacy with a sharp eye for irony and cinematic boldness. Whether crafting a 30-second spot or a longform narrative, she remains committed to pushing visual storytelling forward—always in pursuit of emotional truth through form.
