Director of Photography

Aong Kai is a freelance cinematographer working across music videos, commercials, and narrative films. Most of his work is rooted in storytelling he is especially interested in emotion, atmosphere, and visuals that feel natural and honest.

He originally started out as a DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) and spent about three years learning the technical side of filmmaking before getting the opportunity to shoot hip-hop music videos. That period strongly shaped the way he sees images and helped define his visual style.

Now, after more than 10 years in the industry, he continues exploring and developing his voice through cinematic storytelling. He is particularly drawn to genuine performances, emotional depth, and simple, realistic lighting that makes a scene feel alive.
