Arak is a jack of all trades and occasionally a master of some, although he frequently refers to himself as a recovering management consultant. Having initially grown up in the UK, his career has taken him across the globe, eventually coming landing in Thailand to lead Growth at Central & Robinson department stores.

At Central, he leads a team that puts customers at the heart of everything we do, injecting customer insights into store operations to dynamic marketing campaigns, with the dual goal of driving customer satisfaction and profitable growth for the business. He believes that marketers need to reset and reorient themselves to get back to the commercial heart of what marketing should do – not just sexy brand comms or inflated ROAS numbers but the conviction to run initiatives and strategies that push the envelope.

Outside of the daily grind, Arak also advises startups and PE firms on growth strategies and is passionate about supporting young entrepreneurs.
