Barbara, originally from Belgium, developed a passion for cinema at an early age. At ten, she moved to the south of France, where she completed her schooling before returning to Belgium for her higher education. She enrolled at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) to study film directing, while also working as a radio host for the student station Ameniclap.

Throughout her studies, Barbara worked on various projects, from documentaries and music videos to commercials for a young clothing brand. These experiences allowed her to explore different aspects of filmmaking, but she discovered that her true passion lies in film distribution.

After completing a five-month internship at the Belgian Short Film Agency, Barbara was offered a position as the head of festival distribution. In this role, she focused on promoting Belgian films locally and internationally, a part of the industry she found particularly fulfilling. She’s now promoted to coordinator of the Agency, where she continues to combine her love for cinema with her desire to broaden the visibility of Belgian short films.
