Ben is the CEO of LightBlue, a UN-awarded food waste technology and consultancy firm he has led for over 13 years. LightBlue is dedicated to reconciling sustainability with business excellence, helping food operations reduce waste while improving profitability.

The firm’s mission centers on developing innovative skills, technologies, and methodologies to minimize food waste and enhance the performance of food businesses. Under Ben’s leadership, LightBlue has successfully delivered more than 500 projects in collaboration with international hotel groups, government agencies, development organizations, universities, culinary schools, and restaurant groups across 30 countries.

Ben is also the Co-Founder and CEO of The PLEDGE on Food Waste, the world’s leading third-party certification and benchmarking system supporting restaurants, canteens, hotels, and catering companies in their efforts to reduce food waste, lower costs, and attract new customers.
