Chayanop (Moo) Boonprakob was born and raised in Bangkok. As a child, he spent 2 years in Illinois, USA during his elementary school and then moved back to Bangkok, where he has been based ever since.

Chayanop began his career as a writer and director at the age of 26, a few years after graduating from film school, with his first directorial feature debut “Suckseed” (2011).

He is known for his heartfelt comedy and has expanded his career to commercials and music videos over the years, showcasing his creativity, rhythms, and witty style excellently.

Chayanop’s work is often inspired by his life, bringing moments of tragedy, disappointments in love, or misfortunes of fate and depicting them in a fun way. His films are not only relatable but also have the ability to tug at your heartstrings. They are renowned and appeal to a broad audience, making most of his feature films hits that remain engaging over time.
