Daniel Holmes
Market Minds Global
Oil Painter / Art Director
Daniel Holmes is an American artist who has been living abroad for six and a half years, residing in Japan, China, and now Thailand. His traveling lifestyle has allowed him to partner with artists from around the world.
The majority of his work is self-initiated, with a primary goal of capturing images of people in both their natural and surreal states of life. He finds the most interesting backgrounds for his art in dreamscapes, such as oceans in a storm or cold, abandoned factories.
Daniel’s work focuses on world events mixed with his personal troubles or ideas, as well as influences from many philosophers he has read. While his paintings often have a “dark” feel, the underlying meanings are positive in nature.
His style incorporates varied colors and textures to make his paintings visually interesting. He mixes cubist compositions and surreal rhythms with bold, bright colors or complex designs. In addition to painting, he is willing to take on other types of work and has experience outside his primary medium, such as creating posters, cards, and set designs.
Daniel is also a stand-up comedian, having started in 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
His work has been showcased in galleries, including Red Truck Gallery, Sunrise Gallery, and Sutton Galleries in New Orleans; DK Gallery and The Loft Marietta in Atlanta; and 阿尔敏·莱希画廊 and M97画廊 in Shanghai.
