Darshan was born in India and raised in the US. He has been coming to Thailand every year since 1989 to teach in the Master’s in Marketing program at Thammasat University. In 2020, he moved to Thailand and founded three Thai companies, iResearch (SaaS software), Aha Brands (F&B) and Aha Enterprise (construction).

He entrepreneurial spirit stems from starting his own branding and marketing consultancy to help others for more than twenty-five years to grow their business and thrive.  In 2021, his non-profit foundation launched Big Mango to elevate the startup community in Southeast Asia.

His experience in branding, insights, and management consulting for numerous domestic and international clients guides Mr. Mehta’s strategic capabilities. Recent assignments have taken him across the United States, Asia, and Europe on numerous occasions.

Drawing upon his years of strategy experience, Mehta is the author of a best seller titled, “Getting to A-Ha! Today’s Insights Are Tomorrow’s Facts,” to help business leaders understand and leverage changing consumer preferences.

In addition to his full-time  business roles, Mr. Mehta has taught at The George Washington University in Washington D.C., at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, at Thammasat University in Thailand, and at King Mongkut’s University of Technology in Thailand.  He has been published in trade publications such as the Journal of Advertising Research, Quirks and Survey magazine and has traveled to more than 60 countries. Forbes Magazine recently featured Mr. Mehta has one of 9 CMOs to watch.
