Diego Fuertes is a Spanish industrial designer known for his designs for products, retail spaces, and art installations. In 2011, he relocated to Shanghai from Madrid, where he explored design through architecture and art installations for companies such as Nike and Kvadrat, founding his own multidisciplinary studio, Fuertes Design, in 2014. In addition to managing the studio, he also serves as an Associate Professor of Product & Social Design at Jiaotong-Liverpool and Alfonso X el Sabio Universities.

Today, Fuertes Design is an internationally awarded design agency that has collaborated with renowned brands such as Herschel, Kohler, ClubMed, Oppo, Nio, and provided professional consultation on design and product development to international agencies such as JWT, Wieden & Kennedy, and BBH. In 2023, the studio was featured among the Top 120 Innovative Agencies of the year by Convrt Awards.

Specializing in crafting innovative experiences through objects and spaces, the aesthetic of Diego’s designs emphasizes the ‘fun’ in functionality. The guiding principle behind his work is the belief that designing a product is akin to designing a relationship, with the concept of ‘interaction’ at the forefront.
