Eggarat Wongcharit
Multi-Disciplinary Designer, Artist and Curator

After his graduation and work experiences in New York and Milan, Eggarat’s versatile obsession with design concept development has led him to explore and understand cultural differences to bridge the local Thai design/art wisdom to a global scope. As a result, the long period of practice in his design projects has brought many local and international awards to the company.

Not only his own design routines that he focuses on, Eggarat also attempted to uplift the standard of Thailand’s design industries by creating Thailand’s brand identity. He proposed the idea to the Thai government’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) to curate the exhibition during the Milan International Design Week and the event has been organized consecutively for 12 years since 2010. The successful branding creation “Slow Hand Design Exhibition” has obtained a reputation from international media and opened different types of marketing channels for Thailand’s design-related industries.

For the past couple of years, Eggarat has now shifted into a new paradigm of Fine Arts. His debut of WASTEUTOPIA 1, 2, and 3 art projects, where he explored the concept of waste upcycling and its life cycle in arts, were exhibited at X-Space Gallery, the Mango Art Festival, the Faculty of Decorative Arts Gallery at Silpakorn University and the Design and Object association exhibition at Leunrit Gallery Space, where he started gaining recognition in art scenarios from public and media.
Eggarat is now residing in Huahin, where he continues to produce his art collections, and design objects.
