James Laver
Actor, Voice Artist & Magician

Originally from the UK, James studied at the Oxford School of Drama and the University of Cambridge before relocating to Thailand in 2007. He is an award-winning actor, voice artist, and magician.

His film credits include The Murderer (for Netflix), The Greatest Beer Run Ever, Where We Belong, and The Crawling Beast of Prey (set for theatrical release in 2025).

In Bangkok, he has frequently performed on stage, taking leading roles in Death and the Maiden, How I Learned to Drive, The Little Prince, I Am My Own Wife, Hand to God, and the new musical Life Lessons. His performances in I Am My Own Wife and Hand to God earned him Best Performance by a Male Artist awards from Thailand’s International Association of Theatre Critics.

As a voice artist, he works on a range of projects, including commercials and e-learning for clients such as HSBC, Huawei, Isuzu, PepsiCo, and USAID. He also voices characters for animation and gaming, including reboots of the classic Atari games Lunar Lander Beyond and the upcoming Fatal Run 2089.
