Justin Ambrosino, Executive Producer and Founder of Forerunner Films, has produced over a dozen award-winning short films, features and music videos for directors including Barbara Stepansky, Shana Betz, and upcoming films by César Díaz and Mayumi Yoshida. His films have premiered at festivals including the Locarno Film Festival and the Rhode Island International Film Festival, and have been distributed by Vertical Entertainment, Amazon and Apple TV, and have been nominated for Best Short Film at the Academy Awards. As Co-Founder of 20STM PICTURES, a Belgian animation production company, he created the TV series “Mega-Pals,” in development with RTBF, directed the TV series “Ban” for RTBF (set to premiere in 2024), and the company co-produced Laura Janssens’ “Hamsters,” which airs on STREAMZ.

Justin Ambrosino is a graduate of the American Film Institute, a Patricia Hitchcock Fellow, a Fellow of the New York Foundation of the Arts, a Fellow of the Kyoto Filmmaker Lab, an Artist in Residence at S-AIR Sapporo, an Artist in Residence at T.O.K.A.S. Tokyo, and a participant in the BiFan Fantastic Film School. Ambrosino’s projects in development have been selected as a computer science project for the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Project Market, the Pitchbox at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival Genre Market, and the TorinoFilmLab NEXT program. In his free time, Justin has taught filmmaking at the University of New Orleans and the Istituto Europeo di Design (Sardinia), as well as mentored at the Ghetto Film School in the Bronx and the White House Film Festival.
