Dr. Kakanand is a native Thai. She grew up in an academic and hospital-based environment which is a foundation of her career.

She is a university staff at the Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University. Medical innovation is her passion in which she believes in early diagnosis and its role in preventive medicine for well-being. This belief is her guiding philosophy in developing medical devices and it allows her to play an active role in building an ecosystem for medical innovation. She enjoys learning and working with people from multidisciplinary backgrounds.

Besides the world of medicine and engineering, liberal art is also her interest. Her passion is not quite to create an art piece, but pretty much to appreciate art.
