Profile

Lyrie Laury Frigout
Pianist, Composer, Author and Performer
Lyrie, author, composer and performer, chooses her instrument of choice at an early age: the piano. A multi-talented artist who won a prize at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, she is multiplying in different artistic fields, like those accompanying Plastic Bertrand.
In 2008, Lyrie performs at the Just for Laughs Festival in Nantes. Her piano show “Quand le grand blond rencontre la grande blonde” is a true performance. Taking her inspiration from the music of the films in which the comedian starred, she pays an unexpected and appealing tribute to Pierre Richard, and collaborates with a number of other up-and-coming artists: Garnier et Sentou ,Yann Stotz, Gaspard Proust. She also creates the show “De Groucho Marx à Woody Allen”, in which her music and the text work in perfect harmony. Rich in experience and encounters, Lyrie is encouraged to create and produce her first show and album, Accords Majeurs, followed by her second show, La femme parfaite. Both will be performed at several festivals in Belgium and France, including the Avignon Festival in 2015.
Parallel to her career, she collaborates on film projects as pianist in the series Transfert (Arte production) and in the series Find me in Paris (Disney production), which will result in her composing and performing one of her original musical compositions entitled “Le Prince et la Plume”, for the film Kursk by Thomas Vinterberg.
Diversifying into interdisciplinary projects and varied artistic fields, in 2020 she worked with visual artists on the Nomades exhibition at the Fonderie in Brussels, combining sound and textile research.
Passionate about electronic music, she wrote her dissertation on the French electronic music movement “la French touch” at the Sorbonne University in Paris.
