Matt’s first entry into SEA dates back to 2015, when he first joined Rocket Internet in Myanmar. After leaving, he proceeded to build the largest online recruitment marketplace in the country. Launched in October 2015, the JobNet project capitalised on the first wave of digitization of the Myanmar economy.

Matt and the team grew JobNet to market leader and today the platform services over 1000 local and international companies as well as millions of candidates per year. In 2017, launched the annual Myanmar Employer Awards in partnership with Deloitte, aiming to reward and celebrate companies for their commitment to workplace excellence.

Matt has been a speaker and supporter at various engagements with Google Startup Grind, EuroMoney and Founders Institute.
