CEO

As CEO of iCare Thailand Foundation, Michael is responsible for promoting and implementing the cause of iCare- that of providing access to education to every school age child in Thailand, and empowering underprivileged and marginalized youth. Growing up in Thailand, as a second generation philanthropist, Michael saw first hand the difference and impact that access to education provided.

Over the last 20 years in this field, Michael has made it his life’s calling to serve those in need in the most remote parts of Thailand, setting up 22 Dormitories that provide a path to education for thousands of children in Northern Thailand.

Hailing originally from Oslo, Norway, he now calls Thailand home. When he’s not working in the mountains of Northern Thailand, he can be found providing access to education to underprivileged youth in the slums of greater Bangkok, where iCare Thailand Foundation’s first center for education in the slums is located in Bangsue.
