Following his degree completion at Kingston University in the UK (Majoring in Music Technology & Business Music) Moy Samkwan joined the EMI Music Team in Bangkok (Thailand) and assisted in marketing, and took a step forward to join the Motion Picture Associated (MPA) as a Deputy Director in Thailand.

In 2014, Moy Samkwan took a step further to form ‘What the Duck’ Records. Currently, he took a position both ‘Founder’ and ‘Managing Director’. He is aiming to make this record label become the home of young artists’ promotion to gain popularity in domestic such as Bowkylion, Whal&Dolph, Valentina Ploy, and more. A part of this label, Moy Samkwan help to pave way for his newly signed ‘The Toys’ for making his mark with a recent release hitting the number one chart in Bangkok and immediately gained public attention overseas and especially in South Korea after performed and received award from “Mnet Asian Music Award 2018”.

Moy Samkwan is proved to be adept in cultivating various talented young artists as the label has been gaining international recognition and began touring internationally. These include overseas releases of Valentina Ploy, Plastic Plastic, and F.Hero whose gaining public recognition specifically in Japan from popular cooperation that released a single with BABYMETAL band.

All of these can be proved that cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset of Moy Samkwan make ‘What The Duck’ Company Limited reaching successful both domestic and international as the new generation of the rising star of the Thai music industry.
