Profile

Nick Ervinck
Visual artist

Nick Ervinck is a sculptor and contemporary craftsman who combines top-notch technology with abstract design, traditional concepts of sculpture art, and virtual futurism. Positioned at the forefront of the digital revolution, he is as much a visionary artist as a shamanistic rule breaker. His morphing sculptures and inconceivable mask mutations, collected around the world, continue to captivate and fascinate. Through his art, Nick expresses a deep unconscious desire to merge nature with technology, creating a new kind of harmonic creature — a human reintegrated and dramatically transformed by its environment, seen as the last hope for survival.

As both an artist and designer, Nick is particularly interested in the tension between nature and culture, between tradition and innovation. He strives to push the limits of digital possibilities while maintaining a respect for the art historical legacy. In his creative process, he explores the possibilities between the organic and the digital, between the virtual and the physical.

Nick’s work delves into classical themes such as humanity (with a focus on anatomy and the emergence of cyborgs), plants (especially their genetic manipulation), masks, and animals. His approach always stems from an art historical perspective, which he seamlessly fuses with contemporary pop and sci-fi culture.
