Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke

Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke is a Thai filmmaker who was born, raised, and is currently based in Bangkok. Since graduating from the film department at Chulalongkorn University, he has worked primarily as a scriptwriter for studio films and series.
In 2020, Ratchapoom was selected to participate in the Berlinale Talents program. His short film, Red Aninsri; Or, Tiptoeing on the Still Trembling Berlin Wall, was selected for competition at Locarno 2020, where it received the Junior Jury Award.
In 2022, he participated in Berlinale Talents for a second time at the Short Form Station with his project, Un Voyage à l’Éclipse. He also served as a jury member for the international short film competition at the Glasgow Short Film Festival 2022.
Most recently, his debut feature, A Useful Ghost, won the Grand Prize (Prix Grand Action) at Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique in 2025.
