Tel-Dan Ltd

Ami founded Tel-Dan Ltd, a manufacturer of home furnishings in 1985. The company was started as a workshop in the carpark of a house in Sukhumvit Soi 13. It grew to become a leading S.E.Asian destination for major retailers looking for a full service house of design, development, sourcing and manufacturing of home furnishings. These included, among others, IKEA , Target, TJX, Pottery Barn, Pier 1 Imports, and. In Thailand, Tel-Dan supplies Homepro+++. We also produce a significant portion of Jim Thompson’s home products.

In addition to running Tel-Dan, Ami also completed an M.A. and PhD in Thai Studies in Chulalongkorn University specialising in areas of Thai history, literature and linguistics. He is engaged as a researcher in areas of languages and intercultural communications in Mahidol’s RILCA institute and occasionally assists companies in need of intercultural mediation and training.
