Group Country Head and Chief Expansion Projects

Sanjeev Sood is Group Country Head for Aditya Birla Group in Thailand & Chief Expansion Projects Asia for Birla Carbon. He has been handling Birla Carbon’s Manufacturing function in the Asia region, prior to current role, which included the plant operations in India, China, Korea, and Thailand. He also has handled several P&L roles across Geographies.

He has a total experience of over 4 decades in Tire & Carbon Black Industry. Prior to joining Aditya Birla Group in China, he served the Tire industry for 23 years, having worked for organizations like Goodyear in the capacity of Manufacturing Director

He is the Director on several company boards & is a certified Independent Director, and on the governing councils of Industry and Trade bodies in several countries.

He has received several awards & industry accolades, some of which worth mentioning are “the Lifetime Achievement Award” from the International Carbon Black Association for his contribution to the Tire & Carbon Black Industry. He was awarded with the Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s Individual Award as “Outstanding Leader” and the Stock Exchange of Thailand conferred him with the award for “Outstanding CEO for 2023”.
