Shabnam has been based in Thailand on an expatriate assignment with the Aditya Birla Group since 2018. Currently she is Senior Vice President & Head – Administration & External Affairs at the Group’s Bangkok HO. She also manages the portfolios of CSR, Communication and Group level Admin Projects in Thailand and other regions in South East Asia.

Currently pursuing her PhD in Management, she is a certified PMP ® (Project Management Professional) with an MBA in HR and a professional degree in Hotel management. Additionally she has certifications from various schools in areas of special interest including Strategy from the Columbia Business School.

Having worked in multiple geographies, she has received rewards and recognition from her employers including the Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s Distinguished Achiever Award. She was recognized at the 2023 Leadership Congress as a Woman Leader of Thailand. She has spoken and presented at various forums and has been published in social and industry publications including PMI Thailand, Commercial Design Magazine, Urban Mélange and at the INFHRA Excellence Awards. She is enthusiastic about her fitness, avidly follows world politics, studies language scripts and their etymological connections. For relaxation she pursues art and calligraphy which she publishes under @SoulScribeSam.
