Born and raised in Thailand, Smithi grew up watching so much American film and television that everyone, even Thais, thought he was American. Which actually had its uses when he moved to Los Angeles after college. There, he wrote a script tackling themes to do with Asian American identity, now with a Netflix show creator attached.

Before, he was a story analyst at DMG Entertainment (Iron Man 3, Bloodshot) and Baha Productions (staffed by former Academy Award winner Oliver Stone’s producers). Then he worked as a writer in a subsidiary of M Pictures (Major Cineplex Group), the largest film company in Thailand. Now he splits his time as a Senior Creative for Statrys’ content marketing team and other film and TV projects.
