T-Thawat Taifayongvichit, better known as Pete Taifa, is a distinguished Thai filmmaker working across both cinematography and directing. His journey into filmmaking began in high school through early video editing experiments, which led him to pursue Film Production at Mahidol University International College.

His senior thesis film, 83 Soi Soonvijai 14, received critical acclaim, winning the White Elephant Award at the Thai Short Film & Video Festival and the Grand Prize in the Film Category at the Young Thai Artist Award in 2016.

Pete’s visual storytelling is deeply informed by his passion for cinema, literature, photography, and music. As a cinematographer, he has worked across narrative projects, documentaries, commercials, performance art, and music videos. He was the director of photography on Hunger (his first feature film) and Netflix Thailand’s full television series Doctor Climax. He also contributed as a gaffer on Ghost Lab and has served as a camera operator on numerous international productions filmed in Thailand.
