Thay began his career as an assistant director in Bangkok before studying cinema in San Francisco and Paris. Influenced by French and Chinese cinema, he believes film is the most direct way to connect with an audience emotionally.

His work spans short films, music videos, and commercials, with recognition from Cannes Lions, The Clios, Spike Asia, ADFEST, TIFF, and Nowness.
