Humanitarian Supply Chain Expert

Thomas Debandt currently serves as Resonance’s Regional Humanitarian Supply Chain expert, for a USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) funded project. He leads the technical part of the research project focusing on supply chain mapping and supply chain capacity assessment focused on South-East Asia.

Prior to this project, Thomas worked as the UN World Food Programme’s Supply Chain Officer with a specific focus on emergency preparedness and response for South-East Asia, based in the regional office in Bangkok, Thailand. Thomas has worked in disaster preparedness and response for over 10 years covering Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. He has responded to a wide range of emergencies from the Ebola outbreak in West Africa to complex emergencies in Yemen and Afghanistan. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
