Wayn Traub
Director Jacq
Multidisciplinary Artist / Theater Director / Ccurator
Wayn Traub is a multidisciplinary artist, theater director, and curator internationally recognized for his distinctive cinematographic opera style and his ritual-based theatrical manifesto.
He holds a master’s degree in film directing and art history, and began his career as a visual artist working in embroidery and video. This early visual practice laid the foundation for an artistic language in which image, music, performance, and symbolism converge.
From 2004 to 2012, Traub was a leading director at the Bourla Opera in Antwerp and at Le Théâtre de la Ville in Paris. There, he created acclaimed productions and collaborated with influential artists including Jane Birkin and Alejandro Jodorowsky.
His work received multiple international theater awards and established him as one of the most singular voices of his generation.
In 2012, Traub relocated to Thailand, where he returned to a more intimate visual art practice. He focuses primarily on hand-embroidered copes created with traditional Thai fabrics, alongside musical composition.
In 2019, he recorded the classical album Jean-Baptiste with the Brussels Philharmonic and the Czech National Orchestra.
His most recent solo exhibition, MINSTERWOOD (January–March 2026), presented a comprehensive body of his embroidered works and was met with great success at River City Bangkok.
Alongside his personal artistic practice, Traub is an active art collector, promoter, and curator dedicated to supporting Thai and international contemporary artists.
Since 2018, he has initiated and curated major exhibitions including NEW ARK (2022) at River City Bangkok and ICONOSTASIS (2026) at the MOCA Bangkok, contributing to a growing dialogue between Southeast Asian and global contemporary art.
Through Galerie LJ, Adeline has developed a distinctive program focused on contemporary figurative painters and visual artists whose practices engage with identity, memory, narrative, and the complexities of the modern world.
Her approach combines historical depth with a forward-looking perspective, positioning figurative art as a dynamic and evolving language rather than a return to tradition.
Under her direction, the gallery has gained international recognition for its carefully curated exhibitions and long-term commitment to artists’ development.
By bridging rigorous scholarship and entrepreneurial energy, Adeline Jeudy contributes to shaping a vibrant contemporary art scene in Paris and beyond, fostering dialogue between artists, collectors, and institutions across borders.
